Water soluble film main properties

Author

Water content
Rolls of water-soluble film are wrapped in PE plastic to maintain their specific water content. When the water-soluble film is removed from the PE package, its own water content changes with the environmental humidity, its performance also changes.
Antistatic property
Water-soluble film is a kind of anti-static film, different from other plastic film, has good anti-static property. In the process of using water-soluble film packaging products, it will not cause the reduction of plasticity and electrostatic dust performance.
Water and gas permeability
Water soluble film has strong permeability to water and ammonia, but good barrier to oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and carbon dioxide gas. These characteristics, so that it can be intact packaging product composition and original smell.
Heat sealing property
Water-soluble packaging film has good heat sealing property, suitable for resistance heat sealing and high frequency heat sealing, heat sealing strength is related to temperature, humidity, pressure, time and other conditions, generally greater than 200g/cm.
Mechanical properties
The mechanical properties of water-soluble packaging film: elastic modulus 2500 ~ 400kg/cm2, tensile strength 400 ~ 200kg/cm2, tearing force 200 ~ 50kg/cm, elongation 150 ~ 220%.
Printing performance
The water-soluble film can be clearly printed by ordinary printing methods and has good printability.
Oil resistance and chemical resistance
Water soluble packaging film has good oil resistance (vegetable oil, animal oil, mineral oil), fat, resistance to organic solvents and carbohydrates, but strong alkali, strong acid, chlorine free radicals and other chemical reactions with PVA, such as borax, boric acid, some dyes, such substances recommended not to use water soluble film packaging.
Water solubility
The solubility of water-soluble films depends on their thickness and temperature. For a film with a thickness of 25μm, the dissolution time at 20℃ is less than 300S, the dissolution time at 30℃ is less than 50S, and the dissolution time at 40℃ is less than 30S. (S- seconds)
